When I get reliable information, I post it at this site (for now; in the future I may be too busy to summarize/translate/pass on new info). If I haven’t posted about it, then I don’t know anything. There is no need to ask me repeatedly when the next volume is coming out, because I don’t know. If I knew, I would have posted about it already.
Hello!
I've changed the blog layout. Hope everyone likes it. I have also updated the Frequently Asked Questions About Saiunkoku post.Vol. 13 of The Beans will be released 7/28. This will have the second part of Unmei ga Deau Yoru in it.
I don’t know why, but I get a lot of comments from people thinking that the conversation between Ryuuki and Shuurei near the end of vol 14 is the ENDING of the series. Have they uh… read the summary I made of the entire volume, in which it’s pretty obvious that the series is ongoing and stuff is still happening? I wish people would read the summaries before jumping to conclusions. >_<
I am pretty darn sure that the Saiunkoku series is going to go for at least two or three books more, counting gaidens, so let’s hold our horses on making any conclusions on how the series is going to end. (Although I’m much more curious about how the political stuff is going to end up than about how the romantic plots will end up.)
Note: This is the story in the artbook.

Once again, these are taken from Japanese message boards/blogs. They are unreliable. Take them with a grain of salt. In other words, these may or may not be true.
This entry will be updated as I find more information.

Email me at worldserpent @ gmail.com. However, you must agree to the following conditions.
1) You will not distribute, copy, or send to others the content in the password protected posts.
2) You will not distribute, copy, or send the password.
Usage of the password means that you agree with these policies. BTW, if you know anyone who knows Japanese and can help me iron out these translations, that would also be appreciated.
Oh, BTW, spoilers are not out for the new gaiden yet.
The only thing I could find said that the new story was called “Thousand and One Nights.” (Like the Arabian Nights, I guess?) But I don’t know how accurate that is.
I have some translation drafts which are incomplete, so I don’t wish to release them publicly. However, they are mostly complete, except for a few sentences. So, as long as people would agree not to distribute them to others, I don’t mind showing them to a few. However, how to do this? On Livejournal, it would be possible to admit everyone to a comm or something, which I may do. But, a lot of people can’t use LJ because it is banned in their country, or too difficult to use.
So, I was thinking of putting them up here as password-protected posts and emailing those who agreed to my conditions the password. What do you think of such a plan?
Takes place relatively early in the book.

As you can see, quite a few translations have been added. These were some old drafts that I had lying about but never got to posting here. I still have more, but they need to be revised and corrected. >_> If only I knew more people who had advanced Japanese skills to help me. If you know any, and they’d be willing to answer my annoying questions, feel free to send ‘em my way. Anyway, I hope to be receiving the new book within the next ten days, hopefully.
Yet another volume 14 translation. This takes place right after Ryuuki and Shuurei have that fateful conversation near the end.
