Personally, I have a cavalier attitude towards spoilers. I sometimes seek them out, and I usually don’t go insane if I stumble across one. However, some people wish to avoid spoilers, so the least one can do is respect their wishes.
In this blog, we’re all about discussing spoilers. It’s obvious that this blog contains spoilers for all kinds of things. So it’s okay to just go around discussing spoiler info freely. But, I really cannot understand why some people just post spoilers in the comments of a blog where the blogger has repeatedly said he doesn’t want spoilers! If you want to discuss spoilers, you should get your own blog and link to it (blogs are free, get a wordpress one) and discuss there. If you’re going to comment to a blog, don’t comment things that the blogger has specifically said they don’t want. I’m talking about how people continually post spoiler information in Impz’s anime summaries. Even if they don’t see his comments about it, it’s just common sense to not openly post spoilers. :P
While I’m at it, it annoys me that people post disinformation in wikipedia. Please don’t post things without a source. Kadokawa has not made any announcements about the next Saiunkoku novel. It’s definitely not out in Japan. As of 1/10, I’ve heard no buzz on the Japanese fanboards about a release date for the next book.

That green-haired loli is really something, ain’t he? hahaha. It is indeed annoying that people do not observe house rules. Impzie explicitly said he does not want spoilers but he prepared spoiler tags in anticipation of people who would still want to post spoilers. Only that the tags don’t work properly. hehehe. I used the tags several times, I must admit, but it just doesn’t work.
As for posting spoilers, well, yes. you should link it to your own blog instead… i better get mine working again. it has been almost a month since i last had an entry. :D
:p
Heh. Yes, I just think they have a lot of nerve disregarding his wishes on his own blog. And also, even if he hadn’t explicitly said so, it’s just common sense to ask someone before writing spoilers in the comments.
I’m sorry if any bloggers or myself have gone too far with too much spoilers. We don’t mean to spoil blatantly unless there’s confusion on plots + confused readers need explainations. We’ve tried our best to either:
a)hide our spoilers
b)warn everyone ahead of one if the spoiler tags are unworkable.
c)control info in small dosages of hints
Sorry again if the spoilers wasn’t done more discreetly. I hope future spoilers ahead will be done more cautiously.
Well, you don’t need to apologize for what others have done, because you’re not in control of their actions….
IMHO, I don’t think people should really be having spoiler discussions at all in a place where the host who has to moderate comments and therefore look at them doesn’t want to see spoilers. However Impz seems okay with the spoiler tag, so that’s his decision.
Because the spoiler tag system doesn’t work well, I think it’s best to post the spoiler information to another place, and then link readers there. That way no one can be accidentally spoiled. If spoiler tags aren’t working, then people should just refrain from posting spoilers. It’s basic respect for the person hosting the discussion.
